About Me
My work intertwines the figure with empowerment through a message that stems from loss. My work is surrounded by powerful figures and texture that convey intense emotions. My works speak to the nature of the mind and I seek to elicit a critical response from the viewer, that is I want the viewer to critically analyze my pieces so as to dig inside his/her emotions and his/her mind to find out what my work means to him/her. The work entitled “Viewpoint” depicts an androgynous figure standing/lying in a crucifixion pose. I created the piece to challenge tradition and to cause the viewer, and even myself to critically analyze what the painting stands for, if anything. The work itself is a question designed to stimulate the viewer. My work speaks also for the trials and tribulations of relationships and of the beauty of the body. I paint to move particularly females; I accentuate vivacious qualities of the body and I bring out the horrific emotions our souls have the capacity to feel.
