Imagine the fire flaming at you, alighting your clothes. The teeth about to devour. You have only a sword. How can you slay this monster.
Where is that "split second"? You plunge the sword, the fire stops and you live to be the hero.

But wait, you're taken to that dark place where the questioning begins.
The Sin Council must be appeased. Stripped of your heroism, you await the Council's decision; Was it right to slay the dragon?

Meanwhile, another dragon appears and the council proclaims your
forgiveness. Your re-ordained Hero and sent to slay another monster.

All hail the Hero!

I am war weary. I've tried not to listen to the gun fire, explosions, radio-active piss landing on my food supply. God, and the millions of angry humans bouncing around on their cell phone screens. I cant' multi-task this ****. Give me one image that says it all. The script is the same: All we need is a resolution. Gulf - A-Tonkin, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Same as it ever was. Oil flowing underground. Ok. Ok. Just take it a day at a time. What do you do in an avalanche? You swim like hell to the top. Keep diggin, you'll get there. I am war weary.
