There is much that I admire in this painting, technically I like the composition which has the quality of a cropped photograph. The dress is painted nin such a way that it seems to be caught in a slight breeze, the loose brushstrokes work perfectly. I think we are drawn into creating a narrative for this image, it teases the imagination in the same way that a slightly opened door tempts us to look inside. Kind Regards Gareth
