This week I hung 2 shows in San Diego. The first was called Catnip Connection2 and part of the proceeds go to support the Feral Cat Coalition here in San Diego. The work is beautiful. For those of you visiting the So Cal area, it is in Gallery 21 at the Spanish Village Art Center in Balboa Park.
The second show is a small image show for the Colored Pencil Society of America San Diego Chapter. We hung about 50 pieces that were 12 inches by 12 inches or less. It is a member show and the variety and quality of these artists is great. It is hung at the Ink Spot Gallery in the Art Center Building in East Village.
This has been a busy summer for me. I returned from a trip to Ireland about 2 weeks ago. The people of Ireland are so warm and lots of fun! The statement that Ireland is the land of 40 greens is so true. I wish I had been there long enough to do some plein air painting. They do have all 4 seasons in one day also!

Today I am on the computer learning to draw with a mouse! Who would have thought that there would be such an option in the art world? I have to admit I still love the act of drawing and painting the old fashioned way because it is tactile and gives me a connection to the actual materials.
I am enjoying logging on to this site to see art from around the world. I look forward to seeing more interesting and beautiful things from each of you.
