Statement "Is photography an illusion of time and reality or is photography an objective representation of what happened in the past, captured in the present, in order to become cherished within the future?"
EdB, "Photography: Objectivity or Illusion" (essay)
"I will teach man how to experience the essence of flight through the means of mind elevation. Fly with me!”
Eric "Poetry" Becker
"Greatness should not be measured by social popularity or reputation. Greatness is measured by the intellectual contribution one begins, the moral one exhibits, and the knowledge one inspires others to attain."
Eric "EdB" Becker

I walked through Hell, let Heaven show me what life brings"
Eric "Poetry" Becker
*A true role model can show the eye of the beholder that a rose can break through the concrete and blossom; And somehow, someway at the same time, remain true to its roots*

"A struggle within an achievement is not an obstacle of obstruction. It 'tis an opportunity to overcome, guided by a stepping stone"
Eric "EdB" Becker

"To kill is to finally one-up your enemies at a particular day & time, therefore satisfaction is momentary. But to kill your enemies on a consistent daily basis is to succeed in a righteous way. A wise man once told me 'success is the best revenge.'"

Biography My story begins with my adoption at four years old to the Becker’s of South Buffalo, NY, similar to the movie Losing Isaiah. I am kin by blood to Davis, Harris, Harrison, Allen, Washington, Searcy, Johnson, and, from what I’m told, 95% of Niagara Falls, NY. At two years old, I learned how to ice skate. By four, I joined the Novice level at Sabreland, now known as Hockey Outlet in Wheatfield, NY. By six to eight years old, I impressed my family in how much I could draw, write short stories, poetry, & journalism. This proved very helpful when it came to writing music and crafting short stories and novels. An example of this was a knock-off version of the book series Goosebumps I began creating. It wasn’t long before I was invited to art exhibitions throughout Elementary & Middle School. Around 12-15 years old, I joined St. Albert’s Catholic Church in North Tonawanda, NY as an altar boy for several years, which is now known as St. Jude the Apostle Parish. I had to stop because my travel hockey schedule conflicted with the needs of the church.
When it comes to architecture, I began constructing movable hockey equipment out of cardboard and tape at around 8-13 years old. Examples of these were: (goalie and player gloves & mitts, goalie face masks, hockey player helmets that were designed to adjust to ones head, hockey pucks, etc.), hockey & baseball stadiums, cellphones, laptops, and extreme sports parks. When I was younger I had pet hamsters, therefore my mind and vision adjusted to building these animals an ultimate play pen out of a large cardboard box and the cylindrical cardboard inside of a toilet paper roll. The cardboard hollow tubes were used as transport tunnels for the hamsters to navigate from the different levels and spaces, along with cutout holes resembling passageways into an underground den or tunnel. I was unaware of it back then, but it's evident that I trained these hamsters to think in order to move around. Clear tape was used as "glass" which allowed light and visibility into and out of the model.
Throughout these years I began to go to Basketball camps at Cardinal O’Hara in Kenmore, NY. In addition, I joined the Ramsey Field Little League Baseball League in North Tonawanda, NY. My primary focus was travel Hockey, traveling throughout the Western NY region and the eastern coastline, playing on these various teams: Depew Saints, Amherst Knights, Buffalo Regals in Cheektowaga, Grand Island, and Wheatfield Blades. I also started to skateboard for several years.
I believe I fell in love with music when I was young. My parents had me listening to country, soul, oldies, alternative, blues, jazz, etc. To this day, they will tell you that I was able to memorize a lot of the music I heard; focusing on country songs, since a lot of our time was spent traveling to horse shows, in the country side. During the years of Middle School I began playing the trumpet and the saxophone for the school band, as well as private saxophone lessons from Alder Creek Music in North Tonawanda, NY. In addition, I joined the Edward Town Elementary Choir for a couple years. It wasn't until 7th grade at the age of 13 when I started to create my own music. It took 10 years to fully master my musical composition techniques. Throughout these 10 years, I released several different compilations in between 7th and 11th grade. My latest release was "Wanted DOA" by Problem Child in 2005, which was my senior year at Niagara Wheatfield Senior HS. This was a rushed attempt to release some material since real life took a turn for the worse. I was able to finish the project while awaiting an open case for a robbery in the first degree (5-25 year sentence). As a result, I spent the next five years on paper (probation), even though I was innocent. Unfortunately, I quit Hockey at 17 because my passion for the game started to rot away once real life began to seep into the ice rink. From age 13 until 23, my life took a complete turn for the worst, which left me damn near rock bottom. From age 15 to 23, I started going out to Niagara Falls and Buffalo in the worst neighborhoods, with the sole intention of showing the nonbelievers who live a hard knock life that a dream is a goal worth striving for. As a result of my music, lifestyle & upbringing, and the stripes I caught in the suburbs and streets, some only know me by the name “Problem Child”, “Prob”, or “PC”.
Since then, I have bounced back two times harder. I have graduated from ITT Technical Institute in Getzville, NY with an Associate’s in Computer Aided Drafting & Design (CAD), while simultaneously working there as a Student Worker. My art work and computer renderings have been honored, framed, and praised at ITT. Currently, I am studying to receive a Bachelor’s of Visual Arts at SUNY Empire State College in Cheektowaga, NY. My art work has been featured in several SUNY ESC Student Art shows. Also, I have been honored, once again, to become a Student Worker at SUNY ESC in July of 2010. To top it off, I have also been awarded the SUNY ESC recipient of the Allentown Art Festival 2010 Visual Arts Scholarship. In April of 2011, I was asked by the Dean of Empire State College, Dr. Nan DiBello, to be the undergraduate commencement speaker at SUNY Empire State College's 2011 graduation ceremony at Buffalo State College. In March of 2011, I've was accepted to the Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Planning (Masters of Architecture) at the State University of New York at Buffalo. I have also begun the training process to become a Voluntary Docent (tour guide) at Frank Lloyd Wright's Graycliff Estate, now known as the Graycliff Conservancy in Derby, NY in March of 2010.
Musically speaking, we have come a long way. For the last four years, we’ve been associated and in contact with some shakers and movers in the music business, the names of which I would like to keep confidential. I have also been networking with various producers, R&B, Rock, and Hip Hop artists; actors, models, TV & radio personalities, etc. In 2006, I’ve linked up with an up-in-coming Producer out of Buffalo’s Eastside called Casso, short for Picasso. We plan to release our independent material within due time. In May of 2010, I have linked up with an up-in-coming R&B movement out of Buffalo called W.I.D.E Open Entertainment. We are currently making history as we speak, therefore stay tuned as I will be updating this biography in due time.
