About Me
Always liked making things, drawing, since I was a little kid. I remember drawing the pictures on my birthday cards with color pencil. I liked to design dresses for paper dolls when I was about 7. I continue to paint, take photographs, and imagine.
Statement
Visual arts have always been my passion. Painting and Photography. Media technology is where I've explored recently. Change is the only constant. The impulse to create by hand brings genuine joy.
Be it mixing watercolor with sand in the bottom of the cup or Adobe Photoshop CS3 on my Mac. Art is in the HeART of me.
Education
Minnesota is home. A Princeton Public Schools Grad.'83, attended St.Cloud State for two years then to University of Minnesota- Minneapolis,'87 Grad with a BS in Art Education. Later a Master of Arts in Learning Technology from the University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis 2006. Attended summer session Media Arts using Adobe PhotoshopCS3, Minneapolis College of Art and Design-MCAD 2007.
Biography
I work full time teaching High School Art. Watercolor painting is my true passion. En Paine Air painting anywhere and everywhere, I use the found water from location. Be it Lake, Rain, Ocean-Gulf, Pool, or Ice. I also collect heart shaped rocks. I Love dark chocolate and recently discovered that it's good for drawing with. Painting with Dr. Pepper, Coffee, Tea over the top of the chocolate for the resist technique. Works well on Arches 140lb watercolor paper.
