Beverly Stone was born and raised in an artistic culture. Her parents owned and operated a well-known gallery and picture-framing store in Saginaw, Michigan. Beverly took four years of art instruction during her late teens. Although, many years of dabbling followed, her artistic education did not convene again until six years ago, when she began studying under several artist mentors.
Artist Statement:
Although, I have worked with charcoal, acrylics, collage, ink and photography; watercolor is and always has been my mainstay and first love. Watercolor’s unpredictability is so intriguing. My portfolio includes portraits, birds, animals, floral, street and country scenes, and lighthouses. My goal is to always attempt to find and display at least a small spiritual connection in my work, and to bring peace and comfort to those who observe it.
