I chose to illustrate this story in a fun, child-like way. I think the story itself, being so short and accompanied by a video, is a very fun and light story. I played around with the idea of having two people pouring coffee, and I thought of simply replicating the video, but I wanted to add something to the article that complements its very brief description but didn't interfere with the overall theme. I chose to sketch my illustration on paper, as I feel most comfortable with a pencil and my sketchbook for figuring out basic ideas as well as initial workups. I scanned in my pencil sketch and did the final outline and coloration in Adobe Photoshop. I think when my work is to be posted on the computer, the colors translate best when I do the coloring and details on the computer.
