Coffee, chocolate and cigars. That's my brand new title for something (Why do I always come up with the title before the actual work, does that tell I'm a lousy artist or that I just suck at life?), inspired by....my new diet! Yes, you heard me people, my diet. Well, maybe not, I'm pretty friggin' hungry. Ok, I need some consistency in my life, I need... a calendar. Yeshh!! That's my new year resolution, buy a calendar. And don't forget to use it.

Now all I need to do is create the piece around it. Not that I don't have a huge list of things to draw and write about, but... but.... the more the merrier! My latest excuse for not being as productive as some people would like for me to be. (I'll get there...don't you worry about a thing).

Good news! I finished another piece! Woohoo! It's  a Christmas present for my hubby hub. Bad news! I have failed on consistent basis (wait a minute...I DO have some  c o n s i s t e n cy  in my life) to upload new works for the world to see (and admire obviously, I mean...come on, I almost got 30 views on one drawing, you guys must really love me.... not). But I shall promise you, my non-existent readers and audience, I will upload new stuff within....5 days? That reasonable?

Okey, so I was under the impression today was the 4th or 5th and Christmas would be weeks away. Yesterday I chose to take a look at the calendar after I got a card from my friend wishing merry Christmas. Was I wrong.

That's ok. I have a stack of paper bags under the sink and a bottle of migraine pills, I should be all set. All I need to do is do all the cards and send them out, buy gifts for my parents and a few friends, decorate the house, bake a **** load of cookies and decide on the menu for Christmas day, and oh yeah, do a drawing for my husband as his gift. Oh yeah, and all that needs to get done in TWO DAYS.

Next time, I'm setting an alarm on my cell three freaking weeks in advance.

The good news is I got my Billie Holiday done, all I need to do is scan her pic and post it here.

I used to admire Da Vinci, and even more so William Blake. But then I saw my husband's artworks. He became the standard, I tried to outdo all three of them (failing miserably) only to realize my husband was right: there's only one person I need to outdo everyday, that person being myself. So yes, my loved one is the one, who pushes me to do things and keep on drawing and writing, when I just want to burn every paper my pencils ever touched.

Other than that, who has a perfect childhood? No one, I'm no exception, that is to say I escaped a lot by reading fairytales, and I suppose now I am trying to make this grown up adult stuff filled world of mine a little more magical by adding elements of the dreams I have had over the years in the works I try to produce, and stories I used to make up in my head, when the real world was not exciting enough.
