Description - Curvilinear Cubism, 42x46 inches, oil on canvas. I began to make works extrapulated from Piet Mondrian's attitude towards using soft cuves to slice the space an object sits in rather than dividing the actual object seperatley from the space around it. I find the principle is most important in making modern art easier to enjoy for much of the public. The strong influence of image recognition which Mondrian carried forward from the Post Impressionist and Fauvist painters is apparent in this mountain valley landscape.
